Child Safety Standards (CSAE Policy)
WAHALA UK has ZERO TOLERANCE for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
In compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy for social and dating apps, we publish the following standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAM) and child sexual exploitation (CSE).
1.1 Strict 18+ Age Requirement
WAHALA UK is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We enforce this through:
- Mandatory date-of-birth verification at signup (users under 18 are blocked from registration)
- Math CAPTCHA to prevent automated/bot signups
- Photo and profile review by our moderation team
- Immediate, permanent ban of any account found to belong to a minor
1.2 Prohibited Content & Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on WAHALA UK and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC):
- Any content that sexually exploits or endangers children (CSAM)
- Grooming, solicitation, or attempting to meet minors
- Sharing, requesting, or producing sexual content involving anyone under 18
- Inappropriate communication with or about minors
- Trafficking, abuse, or exploitation of any kind
- Use of the platform by anyone under 18, regardless of consent
1.3 How We Detect & Prevent CSAE
- Photo Moderation: All uploaded photos are reviewed for compliance with our no-nudity, adults-only policy.
- Reporting Tools: Every profile and chat thread has a Report button. Users can flag CSAE concerns with one tap.
- 24/7 Trust & Safety Team: CSAE reports are prioritized and reviewed within 24 hours.
- Account Bans: Confirmed offenders are permanently banned across all devices and IPs and reported to authorities.
- Cooperation with Law Enforcement: We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and provide all required user data under valid legal process.
1.4 How to Report CSAE
If you encounter any content or behavior that violates our Child Safety Standards, please report it immediately:
- In-App: Use the Report button on any profile or chat

- Subject Line: Please use "CSAE Report" so we can prioritize your report
- US Reports: Also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678
- UK Reports: Also report to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF)
- Emergency: If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement (911 US / 999 UK / 112 EU / 199 NG)

WAHALA UK is a dating platform designed primarily to support Black professionals in the UK, US, Italy, Nigeria, and Ghana who are seeking serious, meaningful relationships. While our mission centers on uplifting the Black community, we welcome users of all ethnicities who share our values of respect, authenticity, and commitment.
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
To use WAHALA UK, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be legally permitted to use the service in your jurisdiction
- Not be prohibited from using our service under applicable laws
- Not have been previously banned from our platform
3. Account Rules
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Upload only photos of yourself (minimum 3 photos required)
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Not create multiple accounts
- Not share your account with others
4. Community Standards
You agree NOT to:
- Post nude, sexually explicit, or inappropriate content
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Send spam or promotional content
- Impersonate others or create fake profiles
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Solicit money from other users
- Share other users' private information
5. Moderation & Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Review and remove content that violates these terms
- Issue warnings for minor violations (3-strike system)
- Temporarily suspend accounts for serious violations
- Permanently ban accounts without refund for severe violations
Users can report violations using the Report button on profiles. Our moderation team reviews all reports.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Features:
- 20 swipes per day
- Match and chat (1-hour wait after match)
- 7-second snap videos
Premium Subscription:
- Monthly: £9.99/month
- Yearly: £89.99/year (save 25%)
Microtransactions:
- Skip chat wait: £0.99
- Virtual Roses: £0.10 each
7. Limitation of Liability
WAHALA UK is a platform to facilitate connections. We are NOT responsible for:
- The behavior of users on or off the platform
- Outcomes of meetings arranged through our service
- The accuracy of information provided by users
- Any damages arising from your use of the service
Always prioritize your safety. Meet in public places and tell someone where you're going.
8. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:
- Your profile will be immediately removed
- Your matches and messages will be deleted
- No refunds for remaining subscription time
9. Intellectual Property
The WAHALA UK name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. You may not use them without permission. You retain rights to your photos but grant us license to display them within the app.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in UK courts.
